Heathfield Hall in Handsworth where James Watt lived from 1790-1819.

Chris Rice will provide an introduction to James Watt's life, his family and his social/intellectual networks especially the Lunar Society. This talk will also explore Watt's legacy and how his son James junior helped to create a mythology around his father's achievements.
